The next election is on June 2, 2026.  Here's the basic information you need to cast your ballot.

 

 Dates to Know 

  • May 4 - Mailing of vote-by-mail ballots begins
  • May 18 - Last day to register to vote for June 2 election 

    Conditional (or "same day") registration is available within 14 days of the election in person only at either County Elections Office (SLO or Atascadero) or at a polling location or elections office on Election Day.

  • June 2 - CALIFORNIA PRIMARY ELECTION DAY
  • November 3 - GENERAL ELECTION DAY

You have several options to submit your ballot:

  • Mail -Mail in your ballot. It must be postmarked on or before Election Day. Your signature on the envelope should match the name you used to register or on your CA drivers license.
  • Drop Box - Deposit your ballot in its envelope in a drop box.
  • Polling Place - You may deposit your ballot, vote on a machine, or register to vote at the government center or a polling place.  Look up your polling place here.
