Presented in partnership with the SLO County Office of Education

Join the LWV SLOCO Civil Discourse Committee for an in-person forum to learn how public school boards operate, the characteristics of effective board members, how the public can participate in a meeting, and how a board can effectively respond to public comments.

The forum will be held Monday, October 26, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the Board Room of the SLO County Office of Education, 3350 Education Drive, San Luis Obispo.

This forum is free and open to the public. Registration is suggested in order to receive event reminders but is not required.

Following the presentation, a panel of experienced board members and school administrators will respond to questions from the public.
