League of Women Voters to Moderate Candidates Forum for County Clerk-Recorder
Sponsored by AAUW of Atascadero and AAUW of Five Cities-Pismo Beach
The League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County is partnering with AAUW of Atascadero and AAUW of Five Cities-Pismo Beach to moderate a forum for candidates for County Clerk-Recorder on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. The forum will be held at the Ludwick Community Center, 864 Santa Rosa Street in San Luis Obispo. It will be livestreamed on SLO-Span by AGP Video and will be available on the League’s YouTube channel for later viewing.
Candidate forums are intended to provide the public with an opportunity to learn about the candidates and their views on the issues. Community members are encouraged to attend the forum and to submit questions for the candidates, Elaina Cano, Gaea Powell, and Vanessa Rozo, to answer at the forum. Questions should be on the issues and applicable to both candidates.
The League encourages everyone to register and vote. We urge voters to visit
registertovote.ca.gov to check their registration status, register to vote, or change their address. When checking their registration status, voters can sign up for “Where’s My Ballot” to track their ballots.
The League of Women Voters encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League neither supports nor opposes political parties or candidates.
