- Listen to keynote speaker Elizabeth "Biz" Steinberg, CEO of CAPSLO, celebrating 60 years of helping people and changing lives in SLO County
- Vote on the League's priority issues and biennial budget
- Elect League officers and board members
- Socialize with fellow League members
- Presentation of the 2024 Sara Horne Award for outstanding service to the League in the area of Voter Service
We're pleased to welcome Elizabeth "Biz" Steinberg as our guest speaker. Biz serves as the CEO of the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. (CAPSLO), a Community Action Agency serving low-income community members since 1965. Biz began working at CAPSLO over 47 years ago as the Head Start Education Coordinator and then as the Head Start/Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Director for five years. Biz became the CEO in 1984.
As Chief Executive Officer, Biz is responsible for all operations, strategic planning, and development of a community action agency of over 1,000 employees, with an annual budget of over $119 million, operating programs in 11 counties in California.
The fee for the meeting, including a breakfast buffet, is $50.
